Enter Lot 17 by crossing over the Santa Monica Creek by way of a significant entryway bridge. Lot 17 in Rancho Monte Alegre is one of two remaining crown jewels on the ranch and features gorgeous ocean and mountain views, a large building envelope, building areas for a barn and guesthouse, additional buildings and includes utilities, all on 38+ acres. Interesting Historical Fact: Lot 17 also features 268 mature olive trees. Trees were originally planted by Charles Victor Hall, who bought the ranch in 1878 when it was referred to as Box Canyon Ranch. Initially, he planted 3,000 trees from southern France and planned to market the olives for oil, which he later decided wasn't lucrative enough. This preceded the famous olive mill of Montecito by 12 yrs.
